Daisuke Igarashi's manga Children of the Sea was just the tip of the iceberg, the crest of the wave, the edge of the shore... Okay, oceanic metaphors aside, we're excited to announce that the VIZ Signature IKKI site has now fully launched with nine manga series. You'll get a few new chapters a week; see below for the series list and links.
And if you're at San Diego Comic-Con, come meet Mr. Hideki Egami, editor-in-chief of Japan's IKKI magazine, at Saturday's noontime panel, and head down afterwards to our IKKI launch event. Check our blog for details on IKKI at SDCC.

And coming soon: we'll debut "IKKI Underground," our thought-provoking monthly dialog with people on the forefront of Japanese comics. Think of it as the conversational subway that connects the Japanese and US manga communities. We're excited to kick it off with IKKI Japan's editor-in-chief, Hideki Egami, delving into the roots of the magazine and the international appeal of comics. |

This month's release of Children of the Sea got the bloggers a-bloggin' and the reviewers a-reviewin'. MangaCast's Ed Chavez has been waiting for it since crawling out of Ikebukuro, Anime News Network's Carlos Santos turned right onto it, Sam Kusek at Manga Recon gives it a Shock Value of A, and at her lovely blog, There It Is, Plain As Daylight, Melinda Beasi recommends it as a cure for your land-lubbin' blues.
